Virtual Assistance Training

The Virtual Assistance Training program of the Department of Information and Communications Technology provides Filipinos with the practical digital competencies needed to enter the growing market for remote work and online freelancing. Delivered in close partnership with Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) and local government units, the program equips participants with foundational and applied skills in areas such as email management, calendar coordination, data entry, social media management, customer service, basic bookkeeping, and other tasks commonly performed by virtual assistants serving local and international clients.

The program is designed to be accessible and immediately applicable, enabling participants — particularly unemployed individuals, homemakers, persons with disabilities, and residents of areas with limited traditional employment opportunities — to generate income through online platforms without the need to relocate or commute. By combining technical training with practical workflow simulations and digital tools orientation, the Virtual Assistance Training program opens a concrete and achievable pathway into the digital economy for Filipinos who may otherwise be excluded from the modern workforce.
