Project SPARK, formerly known as DigitalJobsPH, is the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s flagship workforce development initiative, implemented in accordance with Republic Act No. 11927 or the Philippine Digital Workforce Competitiveness Act. The program is designed to equip Filipinos with the digital skills, competencies, and knowledge needed to compete in an increasingly technology-driven labor market — providing structured training across a wide range of digital disciplines including programming, data analytics, cybersecurity, virtual assistance, digital marketing, and other in-demand ICT occupations.
Through partnerships with local government units, PESO offices, academe, and private sector technology companies, Project SPARK delivers training through both online and in-person modalities, making digital upskilling accessible to Filipinos across all regions. The program prioritizes unemployed individuals, underemployed workers, out-of-school youth, and other vulnerable sectors who stand to benefit most from gaining digital employment credentials. By bridging the gap between the traditional workforce and the demands of the digital economy, Project SPARK serves as a cornerstone of the government’s strategy to position the Philippines as a globally competitive digital workforce hub.
