Graphic Design Training for Women

The Graphic Design Training for Women is a DICT initiative that addresses the persistent gender gap in the ICT sector by providing women with targeted technical training in graphic design, visual communication, and digital content creation. The program equips female participants with hands-on skills in industry-standard design tools and software, covering areas such as layout design, photo editing, branding, digital illustration, and social media content production — competencies that are increasingly in demand across industries in the digital economy.

Beyond technical skills, the program also aims to build participants’ confidence and entrepreneurial mindset, empowering them to pursue freelance work, employment in creative agencies and digital marketing firms, or small business ventures in visual communications. By deliberately focusing on women — including those from disadvantaged communities, solo parents, and women returning to the workforce — DICT reinforces its commitment to gender-responsive ICT development and ensures that the benefits of the digital economy are shared equitably across all segments of Philippine society.
