Hospital/Jail/Detention/Worksite Visitation is a welfare service provided by the Department of Migrant Workers to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are in distress while abroad.
Through this program, welfare officers conduct on-site visits to:
- Hospitals – to check on the health and medical needs of sick or injured OFWs
- Jails or detention facilities – to provide assistance to OFWs who are detained or facing legal issues
- Worksites – to assess working conditions, address grievances, and ensure worker welfare
These visits aim to provide immediate assistance, protection, and guidance, connecting OFWs with necessary services, legal support, and government resources to safeguard their rights and well-being while overseas.
