The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development in the Philippines, created by virtue of Republic Act 7796, otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994.”
TESDA Regional Office No. VIII serves the provinces of Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Samar, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar in Eastern Visayas, offering technical and vocational training, scholarships, language courses, and many other programs. Through its network of provincial offices and training centers across the region, TESDA RO8 delivers quality technical-vocational education accessible to every community.

Dir. Dan M. Navarro, DPA. serves as the Regional Director of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Regional Office No. VIII (TESDA-RO8). He leads the implementation of technical-vocational education and training programs across Eastern Visayas, driving skills development and empowering the region’s workforce to be competent, certified, and globally competitive.
