The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) is a youth employment-bridging program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). It provides short-term employment to qualified students and youth during summer or Christmas breaks.
The program aims to help participants earn money for school while gaining valuable work experience.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet all of the following qualifications:
✓ Age: 15 to 30 years old
✓ Education Status:
- Currently enrolled students (High School, Senior High School, College, or Vocational/Technical), or
- Out-of-school youth (OSY) who intend to continue their education
✓ Income Requirement: Family income must not exceed the regional poverty threshold
✓ School Performance: Must have passing grades (if currently enrolled)
✓ Health Status: Physically and mentally fit to work
