The Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) is a TESDA-administered financial aid program that provides scholarships to qualified Filipinos enrolled in accredited private technical-vocational education and training institutions. Established to expand access to quality skills training beyond government-run facilities, PESFA bridges the gap for students who choose or require enrollment in private TVET providers by shouldering the cost of training fees that would otherwise be financially prohibitive.
Beyond tuition coverage, PESFA also extends a monthly allowance to qualified scholars, helping them sustain their studies throughout the duration of their chosen course. Eligible beneficiaries are assessed and selected based on set criteria, with priority given to individuals from low-income households seeking to improve their employability and economic prospects. By supporting students in private TVET institutions, the program broadens the reach of technical education across the country, ensuring that more Filipinos can access industry-aligned training, earn National Certificates, and compete confidently in today’s job market.
