Back when I was a student, I honestly had no clear idea of what I wanted. I was uncertain about my future and had no definite career path in mind. I didn’t even know much about the Career Development Support Program (CDSP) at that time. All I knew was that I wanted to find something that would truly fit me, but I didn’t know where to start.
That all changed when representatives from the Northern Samar Public Employment Service Office visited our school to conduct a career orientation. Among them was Sir Maurice, who talked about the CDSP and how it helps students discover their strengths and align them with future careers. That session became a turning point in my life.
Through CDSP, I started to understand myself better—my interests, my skills, and what I was truly passionate about. It opened my eyes to new possibilities and helped me realize where I could truly excel. With that clarity, I decided to take up Civil Engineering, a course that matched both my abilities and aspirations. Looking back now, I can say that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
With hard work, perseverance, and faith, I passed—and eventually topped—the Civil Engineering Board Examination in 2023.
The Career Development Support Program became my compass, guiding me toward the right path. It didn’t just help me choose a course; it helped me build my future. Today, I am proud to say that my journey stands as proof that with the right guidance, determination, and self-belief, dreams really can become reality.
