
Tacloban City – 𝗧𝗲𝗻 (𝟭𝟬) 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 (𝗢𝗙𝗪𝘀) from Leyte successfully reached a settlement for their Requests for Assistance (RFAs) totaling to ₱𝟭,𝟰𝟱𝟴,𝟲𝟬𝟳.𝟳𝟭 through the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism of the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗜𝗜 (𝗗𝗠𝗪 𝗥𝗢 𝗩𝗜𝗜𝗜).
The RFAs, which involved complaints regarding the non-payment of salaries and end-of-service benefits, were successfully resolved through ADR with the assistance of the OFWs’ Philippine Recruitment Agency. The resolution was reached through a series of conciliation-mediation conferences facilitated by the 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗠𝗪𝗣𝘁𝗗) led by Conciliators 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗗. 𝗦𝗮𝘆 and 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆 𝗟. 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮, which resulted in a formal amicable settlement on February 25, 2026.

Moreover, one of the OFWs expressed gratitude to DMW RO VIII, saying:

DMW RO VIII continues to strengthen its protective mechanisms through proactive case management and dispute resolution strategies, ensuring that the rights and welfare of OFWs and their families are upheld and that their lawful claims are addressed promptly and effectively.
